bullet Hans Jacob MANGOLD was born in Oct 1588 or Nov 1588 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland.(6999) He was baptized on 3 Nov 1588 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7000) This is another instance in this family of two Hans Jacob children, raising the possibility that a younger Hans Jacob, the twin brother of Anna, may have died young. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Hanss MANGOLD was born in Jan 1575 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7001) He was baptized on 27 Jan 1575 in Sissach Parish, Baselland, Switzerland.(7002) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber. However, researchers John Slabaugh and Glenn Peters believe that the most likely family is that of Sebastian Mangolt [sic] and Anna Keyser (see notes on that family for more information).

The other two unlinked families then are headed by:
(1) Friedrich Mangold and Barbara Greider, or
(2) Friedrich (or Jacob?)Mangold and Elsbeth (Elisabeth?) Rippstein. Parents: Friedrich (or Jacob ?) MANGOLD and Elsbeth (Elisabeth ?) RIPPSTEIN.

bullet Heini MANGOLD was born in Mar 1574.(7003) He was baptized on 28 Mar 1574 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7004) Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Heinrich MANGOLD was born in Nov 1572 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7005) Unless there is another reason for repeated use of the name Heinrich, this Heinrich may have died young since there are three other Heinrich's in this family born about 1576, 1581, and 1584. He was baptized on 16 Nov 1572 in Sissach Parish, Baselland, Switzerland. (7006) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber.

Parents: Friedrich (or Jacob ?) MANGOLD and Elsbeth (Elisabeth ?) RIPPSTEIN.

bullet Heinrich MANGOLD was born in Apr 1576 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7007) Unless there is a reason for repeated use of the name Heinrich, this Heinrich may have died young since there is a third born Heinrich in 1581 (there are also a first born Heinrich in 1572 and a fourth born Heinrich in 15840> He was baptized on 15 Apr 1576 in Sissach Parish, Baselland, Switzerland.(7008) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber. bullet Heinrich MANGOLD was born in Jan 1581 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7009) Unless there is another reason for the repeated use of the name Heinrich, this third born Heinrich may have died young since there was a fourth born Heinrich in 1584 (there are also a first born Heinrich, 1572, and a second born Heinrich, 1576). He was baptized on 29 Jan 1581 in Sissach Parish, Baselland, Switzerland. (7010) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber. However, researchers John Slabaugh and Glenn Peters believe that the most likely family is that of Sebastian Mangolt [sic] and Anna Keyser (see notes on that family for more information).

The other two unlinked families then are headed by:
(1) Friedrich Mangold and Barbara Greider, or

bullet Heinrich MANGOLD was born in Mar 1584 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7011) This Heinrich is the fourth born male in the family with the name Heinrich. Unless there is a reason for repeated use of the name, it could mean that none of the previous born Heinrichs survived until the birth of this Heinrich. He was baptized on 15 Mar 1584 in Sissach Parish, Baselland, Switzerland.(7012) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber. However, researchers John Slabaugh and Glenn Peters believe that the most likely family is that of Sebastian Mangolt [sic] and Anna Keyser (see notes on that family for more information).

bullet Jacob MANGOLD was born in Jan 1573 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7013) He was baptized on 18 Jan 1573 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7014) Since there is a second Jacob in this family, one could speculate that either there was an adopted younger Jacob or this Jacob died prior to 1584. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Jacob MANGOLD was born in Dec 1583 or Jan 1584 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland.(7015) He was baptized on 5 Jan 1584 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7016) This is the second of three children in this family with repeated names, indicating that it is possible that the first born Jacob died young. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Jacob MANGOLD was born in Nov 1573 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7017) This unlinked family is one of three Mangold families that have daughters named Anna who could be the wife of Heinrich Lauber. (7021) He was baptized on 15 Nov 1579 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland.(7022) Because there is a second child, born later in this family, named Martin, raises the possibility that this Martin died when he was less than two years old. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Martin MANGOLD was born in Dec 1580 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7023) He was baptized on 2 Jan 1581 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. (7024) This is the second child named Martin in this family. It is possible that a younger child also named Martin died prior to this Martin's birth. Sometimes parents repeated names after a younger child died. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.

bullet Mathiss MANGOLD was born in Jan 1578 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland. bullet John Wilhelm De La MARCK Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg was born on 28 May 1562 in Dusseldorf, Germany.(7069) He was a Bishop of Münster between 1574 and 1584 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The westernmost and--in terms of population and economic output--the largest Federal State of Germany. He was a Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg between 1592 and 1609. A combination of states of the Holy Roman Empire. In 1423 the duchies of Jülich and Berg were united, and in 1521 they united with the duchy of Cleves and the county of Mark to form Jülich-Cleves-Berg.
He was a Duke of Cleves between 1592 and 1609 in Herzogtum Kleve, Germany. The Duchy of Cleves (German: Herzogtum Kleve) was a state of the Holy Roman Empire in present Germany (part of North Rhine-Westphalia) and the Netherlands (parts of Limburg, Noord-Brabant and Gelderland). Its territory was situated on both sides of the river Rhine, around its capital Cleves and roughly covering today's districts of Cleves, Wesel and the City of Duisburg.

He was a Count of Mark between 1592 and 1609 in Grafschaft Mark, Germany. The County of Mark (German: Grafschaft Mark, colloquially known as Die Mark) was a county of the Holy Roman Empire in the Lower Rhenish-Westphalian Circle. It lay on both sides of the Ruhr River along the Volme and Lenne Rivers.

He died on 25 Mar 1609 in Germany.(7070) He was also known as Johann Wilhelm, Herzog zu Kleve, Julich und Berg. He was also known as John William, Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg. Parents: Wilhelm IV HERZOF VON CLEV Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg and Maria of HAPSBURG Archduchess of Austria.

He was married to Anna Van ALDEKERK. This marriage is unproven in the official records, although there is evidence supporting it. At any rate, because Anna was considered to be of a lower station or class, the marriage would have been morganatic. A morganatic marriage is a type of marriage which can be contracted in certain countries, usually between persons of unequal social rank (unebenbürtig in German), which prevents the passage of the husband's titles and privileges to the wife and any children born of the marriage. It is also known as a left-handed marriage because in the wedding ceremony the groom held his bride's right hand with his left hand instead of his right.

Often, this is a marriage between a male from a royal or reigning house, often a historical German state, and a woman of lesser status (a non-royal or non-reigning house, or a woman with a profession that is traditionally considered lower-status). Neither the bride nor any children of the marriage has any claim on the groom's titles, rights, or entailed property. The children are considered legitimate on other counts and the prohibition of bigamy applies.
