Dorsey GENSAMER⁽³¹⁶³⁾ The existence of Stuart and Dorsey was not discovered until a conversation with Richard Gensamer, nephew of this individual, on 18 July 1999. This name had not shown up in the research among the other previous sources.

One speculation on the reason for Dorsey's first name is that his grandfather, John Gensimer, apparently, according to his Will, spent his last days on a farm owned by a Dorsey family. It can then be assumed that the two families must have been close friends or relatives for John to live there rather than with one of his children.

M. Gensamer also says that Jerry was one of 16 children.
The marriage court records of 1897 show his first name spelled "Jerre." Other
records may show a spelling of "Jerry."

Obituary noted 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren at the time of death.
