Fulton County

Fulton County was created on April 19, 1851, from part of Bedford County. It was named after Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. Daniel McConnell laid out the county seat of McConnellsburg in 1786 which was incorporated as a borough on March 26, 1814.
